I agree that SUNW has a fair chance of success like other computer server companies. But, IMHO, the market perception that SUNW could have an unfair advantage like MSFT has all but vanished. To resurrect its P/E to say ~45, the market will demand a consistent demonstration of exceptional growth in earnings. I am not implying that SUNW cannot do so, but that other players have fair chances to take market share from SUNW. The most assuring aspect of SUNW's strategy is that it has been trying to bring up its image to the level of IBM and HWP through JAVA. I thus feel that SUNW's price will move with the prices of these players until a consistent superior earnings growth is demonstrated. Thus, a quick recovery upto even $45 is going to be very hard, IMHO. I do not think that there is any downward momentum in price at this moment. Volatility is the order of the market these days, as buyers and sellers try to beat each other.
