I would like to live in Ruby Hill, in fact we could live there if it weren't for prop 13. We came into town after the BIG property vauation increases had already taken place. Our neighbor across the street (the retired guy with the enormous motorhome who takes two trips abroad each year) pays about 1/4 of what we pay in taxes. Is that fair, I don't think so. I personally would rather EVERYONE be screwed than that III be singaled out for personal attention. And while I'm sure there are many older folks out there worthy of my charitable thoughts I don't know any, so I say screw 'em. I won't get any social security and neither will my husband, I won't see medical benefits of the kind older folks now get. I imagine them all dead, before they rack up that last excessive bill on the gov't health program. Do I sound angry? You bet. And everyone I know around my age feels pretty much the same way, although many are even angrier. Talk about scary.

Alexa is an ingrate and a foolish youth. Of course, she was playing with Barbies and watching the Brady Bunch when all the Prop 13 excitement was going down, so waht do you expect?
