"So you don't agree that we need to reduce our carbon emissions by 80%?"

I never said it. Nor do I think it is necessary. As I have repeatedly stated.

"a) You haven't described what those "carbon sinks" are and how they will simply increase on their own."

Well Tenchu, you need a little session with the Internet. For one, trees in many regions are already growing faster due to the higher levels of CO2. Mix in the reforestation of North America and Europe, and there is one big one. The declining ice sheets in Antarctica have opened more surface water and phytoplankton is taking off. Ditto for the Arctic. So there is another. I can go on.

"b) You cannot halt climate change. That's a fundamental truth about the environment."

Right. This from someone who professes a strong believe in the ingenuity of humanity.

Now the Tiger story is going from salacious to a little weird but mostly sad:

Apparently, Tiger believes he can will things/golf balls to do what he wants........he told a reporter that once. And his father told the same reporter that he could communicate telepathically with his son. His father also was suggesting that Tiger might be the next Messiah:

sports.espn.go.com

And some fanatical supporter actually had a church website set up in tribute to Tiger:

tigerwoodsisgod.com

I thought it was a joke and a play on Tiger's current troubles until I realized the idiot had set up the website in 1996. UGH!
