A long time ago, when I was actually interested in
WSTL, and AMTX, and followed their news, and others, I remember many reports of how certain trails had begun. Then later, I read about how one telco would pick one type of DSL, and another would pick another type of DSL. Very few listed 1Mbs in there trials. I remember much higher bandwidth described.
The fact that US Robotics had begun development of DSL got me excited.
It also made those stock drop fast.
This DSL excitement has been going on for a long time. Probably about ten years. I've been interested for only a couple of years.
However, I think DSL has another 3 to 5 years to go still. At the same time, I know that the potential for DSL is HUGE!
