ref: Dual Boot user Profile move.

Had to update each OS registry to account for the new user profiles. Fairly easy to do.

(1)run regedit.
(2) Back up registry.[use Export]
(3) Use "Find" and put in old path string "C:\documents and settings\%username%". Use Win explorer and copy new pathname.
(4)Replace old string. Repeat by pressing "F3" and go through whole registry.
(5) Back up new Registry.

The Administrator, All users, and Default User profiles were left in the drive with the OS. For recovery purposes they are best left where they are, if for no other reason.

I noticed the application data picks up huge amounts of memory as temp files, cache and Recycle bin fill up. I use CCleaner to tidy that up now and again. I use other programs to do similar type of cleaning too. Just on more reason to dump all that stuff on a separate partition imo.

Dual boot working very well. There are some programs I don't like (example anything Adobe] but have to use for some applications. I have put all those applications on XP. On Win2k I just use foxreader for pdf files. Very handy little program.
