Thanks, we'll look for those. I'm sure my dogs would much rather have those.

My brother said most clinics where he lives (10 mi north) are owned by some conglomerate, and he believed that near monopoly status they enjoyed has caused much of the price escalation.

Elsewhere, I have read of 'pricing power' caused by many more people having pet insurance.

edit: I think this is the corp that he mentioned, and I found out our clinic is owned by them:
