It is obvious that the example cited is not related to what the climate hoaxsters are doing. If they wanted to do science they would annotate the data set with note when manmade changes affect data. The interesting thing is that 1960 is the hinge year. All adjusted data before that was being adjusted down and all adjusted data after 1960 was being adjusted up. I am currently guessing that the most devout believers in the Mann-made Global Warming Hoax are people who have no other religion.

Right, you got my point exactly. If those guys were really manipulating data and they were the main source for all the data used in the global warming analysis, then I'd say we have a problem. However, although, I do think those characters were bad apples and may very well have been manipulating data to create a bad science result, I also know that they are not the only source of data, nor is their particular science the only scientific discipline that is generating data with conclusions that point to man-made warming.
