Good point, Mike, but a major difference is that this time it is global. If you go to rural India and ask a farmer there how many dot.com stocks he owned during the Internet boom he would probably not even understand the question. But I am not sure that there is anywhere on Earth you can go to find someone who has never heard of gold. Except maybe the US. <g>
