Right now we are trying to restrict the Chinese from coming down thru Pakistan to get to the gas resources located there.

Who are you kidding? The Chinese just signed a $2.8 Billion copper mining deal back in 2008.. So we're apparently not doing a very good job of keeping the Chinese out, now are we?

It is an agenda to keep the people in the dark so they can exploit foreign resources under the Hawk pretext of establishing democracy and scaring away the bad guys.

And maybe you can explain to all of us why you prefer to keep them in poverty and destitution??? I guess you like to see people living from hand to mouth, right?

Or maybe you enjoy flashing that sadistic grin of yours as you make them grovel to receive food and other humanitarian assistance??

Listen moron.. The Afghan people deserve to earn more than a measly $400/year. And that takes jobs.. LOTS OF JOBS!! And that takes investment. LOTS OF INVESTMENT. And to get investment, you have to have security and good social order, with an accountable government.

And yes, they have resources, which have not been extensively mined due to the chaos in that country. But it's BULLSH*T to claim we're going to "exploit their resources" as if we're going to steal them. There's NOTHING WRONG with exploiting them for the MUTUAL BENEFIT of all parties, and ESPECIALLY THE AFGHAN PEOPLE.

I can almost guarantee you that the Taliban possess neither the skills, or the willingness, to obtain benefit from those resources for the people of the country. They'll wind up like the Saudis, where a few people derive the primary benefit from that nation's oil resources.

My best guess is a cloud of deception has been willingly received by the US public. Certainly our leaders are nothing but selfish crooks.
