If market takes a hit
Yep agree.. but that is a product of us both being in the 'world is not ending' camp.

ABX is still giant and liquid... that goof will certainly put it back in the penalty box short term but look at what just happened to New Gold... I'm thinking a lot of these 'factors' have been taken for granted for too long... as an aside.. I'm quite cool on oilsands going forward for similar reasons.. I think the 'green' sentiment is growing... as in the trend is strong... likely due to the beginning of boomer power fading... and different priorities from same... (big believer in demographics here)

Not a believer that mines running out of gold Peak gold, peak oil.. LOL Long time before technology fails to mitigate declines... NG was on it's North American death bed until last year :O)

I'm playing gold for now similar to that old Trooper tune... Here for a good time... not a long time... so have a good time... the sun can't shine every day :O)

Gold is insurance IMO... just like my paid off residence .. sometimes though you can get your insurance to do double duty ... as long as you are careful :O)

Oh one more point on gold... I think we have one more good surge in it but then it settles down (hence my seniors as possible value plays thoughts)... I'm not looking at 2K POG... as a counterpoint, assuming you still follow Dale's thread.. I just posted a transport stock yesterday as a possible buy with 5% yield..
