Dangerous cold is right. Toss in the wind chill at -33 for our overnight and you have some serious problems. The shelters are full and overflowing, but they can't turn folks out with this cold. These are record setting cold temps for this time of year. I'm already sick of it.

Geez! Talk about a day from Hell. Woke up yesterday morning with a horrible vibration in my head, which turned out to be the worst case yet of vertigo. In between getting violently ill and trying to get my doctor on the phone, the electricity went out.

During the brouhaha of trying to find the problem, my favorite kitty cat got out and is probably gone forever. She's just beautiful and very affectionate, which means anyone could pick her up. She's a Baby Doll and that breed is so friendly, they won't defend themselves.

Now the electrician is here trying to find the problem and without warning, he zapped something and everything went dead again and I lost about an hour's work - which is a lot!

I've never understood why things pile on like that. Just one of those things is bad enough.
