Class Action Lawsuit Against Glenayre Technologies Dismissed

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Nov. 4 /PRNewswire/ _ Glenayre Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq:GEMS) confirmed today that the
class action lawsuit pending against it and certain of its officers and directors in the United States District Court for the
Southern District of New York was dismissed.

Gary Smith, Glenayre's president and CEO, said, ''We are pleased that this lawsuit has been dismissed. Although the
plaintiffs have the opportunity to attempt a refiling, we have contended all along and continue to believe that their
claims are totally without merit.''
