If Obama were smart, he'd take advantage of this opportunity with a carrot-n-stick approach to diplomacy.

He can't do that - take advantage of a medical emergency to gain leverage. Maybe we should ask NK why they intend to now shoot people trying to defect due to those government caused disasters - after all they just want jobs and health care.
