I can understand you may be upset that I am making a big deal out of what may be a very small point.

I just don't understand this anger against Kruman. Are you thinking he is out to get something for himself? What is it that bothers you?

There are others on this thread that share your point of view but I just don't get it.

If you are walking across a parking lot, see quarter on the ground and stoop to pick it up, you might say to a companion, "Ooh, look what I found, it's my lucky day!" even though that coin is meaningless to you, and you may have a jar full of change at home.

For the homeless guy scrounging to buy a cup of coffee, it may make the difference between hot liquid in his stomach or not.

That's what health insurance is to a guy like Krugman, something he will never have to worry about being able to afford the rest of his life. Hence the joke. But it's important that those who can't afford it now get covered.

We already have too much, "Look, a clue to a hidden evil mindset!" on Internet chat boards as it is.
