The IPCC acts in the public interest, where the Industrial PAC's act in their own short term interests (i.e. the next Q's revenues). This is a strong conflict of the public interest. Herein lies the crux of the matter. Of course in your mind "What's good for GM is good for America" or "The Business of America is Business". Well in the long term, the costs of ignoring AGW will ge significantly higher than the costs of remedying it.
