But the co2 in air has not kept pace with the forecast even though the real emission rate has exceeded the forecast. Obviously an unaccounted sink was not in the model/forecasts.

That to will peak and level off as China and India complete their industrialization and we begin to use alternatives to coal/oil as they become more scarce.

Note that the earlier data is more or less below 1.0 and the latest data is over 2, although it does vary a lot from year to year.

Saw that and also wondered - co2 sensor on a volcano that leaks gases all day long? But the numbers pretty much matched other places around the world.
