I am surprised that you are saying that corruption is part of the cancer in our government. Corruption is a cancer in ANY Government Sarman!! Having a democratic government doesn't suddenly nullify corruption, it just makes it easier for the public to hold their representatives accountable. Non-democratic societies have RAMPANT CORRUPTION. And the only stuff you hear about is when the power elite, the most corrupt, catch some rival engaging in the same corrupt practices. Do you think that these militant Muslim government's aren't corrupt? The Taliban was storehousing Opium in order to boost the price. They claimed they had confiscated it, but they NEVER destroyed it. And despite depriving the Afghan people of the modern conveniences of life, it sure didn't prevent their members from having modern technology and vehicles. They had Sat phones, trucks, motorcycles.. etc. It's alright for THEM to possess these things in the name of Allah, but not for the general population at large. Controlled by the few. I would not go that far. You might not called it censorship, but we get selective news on MSM. It's increasingly becoming that way. But we have the "blogging" community to assist in bringing stories to light that would not pass editorial muster in most MSM networks. The Taliban, or any other militant religious faction, would censor internet access, if not eliminate it completely. They don't answer to anyone but themselves and their religious mentors. Hmm, I recall Donald Rumsfeld wanted to shut Al-Jazeera down. I wonder why!!! Because, at that time (and maybe even now), it was not being fair and objective. I really don't follow it, so it's hard for me to have an opinion. True, however, Fox did put the scandal out not because it has integrity, it put it out because it is bought off by the other side. And who's paying for the MSM's side? We are human beings and we have brains (or at least most of us). GW is MUCH more than just "saving the planet", it's about giving the government even more power over the lives of it's citizens and constraining and controlling them. It's about trying to convince us that a gas, ESSENTIAL to botanical life on this planet, is now a poison. And it's about putting more of this societies money into the hands of the power elite. Just the very same thing that these Jihadists desire to achieve. GW is just another "religion" ruled by fanatics with coercive governmental powers. Hawk
