Why would people who depend on the government for their money vote to cut government spending? Once the government dependants outnumber the producers, there isn't enough support to stop the rot.

Deflationary talk: <Thursday December 10, 2009 12:32PM EST
US dollar rally is imminent. Most of the world's debt is denominated in US dollars! We printed 2 trillion and we borrowed 50 to 300 trillion! When the borrowing stops, we won't have enough dollars to pay principal + interest! This is a deflationary crash! tradingstocks.net

Big Ben is armed, locked, and loaded, ready to let fly to prove he can prevent deflation. "Don't fight the Fed" - old saying.
