They didn't have the facilities to make enough lasers therefore they had a backlog.

Now they can make more than the industry current needs (1000 year). The industry probably won't need 1000 a year until 1999. In the meantime CYMER is going to work with the manufactures to try and keep their order flow smooth. All CYMER wants is to increase earnings growth over each Quarter. They don't want to have a GREAT month and follow it up with a BAD month.

With all the stories we're receiving about FAB's going to .25 microns etc.. The demand may continue to be strong??

Need to add in service and parts revenue to the equation. If the laser chamber needs to be replaced every 6 months or so, that will be a NICE POP once the laser's are running near full compacity.

The short-term picture could be choppy after the 1Q '98 is reported. The company has mentioned they see STRONG GROWTH for the next 2 Q's. They also said they see revenue increasing 40% in 1998.

I'm in CYMER for the long-term.

Aloha
