Armin,,,I see what you are saying, however I'm not sure schooling makes people smart,,,true I think they have made it a lot easier to remain in school,,the consequenses being what appears as the dumbing of America,,but I think this just as much a response to an inability to get a menial type job where someone could earn enough to do what used to be considered almost a right...get married, have a couple of kids,,buy a home,,the odd vacation,,without the benefit of higher education....

I have a relative in the education game. Her contention is that the situation is even worse when compared to Japan.
