I tried to play hockey when I was about 14 and 15. We skated on the frozen creeks in the area. The ice was terrible, and had rocks protruding, always at the wrong time. Even when I was able to get on a team that skated on a rink, my ankles just never held up. I remember paying most of what I earned mowing lawns for a pair of CCM hockey skates, but my ankles still didn't get enough support.

It was about then I discovered girls and cigarettes. That took care of any interest I had in hockey.
