Aren't Russia and Eastern and Central Europe losing population? I know Russia is decreasing in population and some European countries too. They might be emitting less greenhouse gases because less people are using fossil fuels in those countries. I would bet that China and India are increasing their CO2 output bigtime these days. Canada has been a disgrace because of their big tar sands operations. I think the world is going to get a lot warmer minus some game changing technology ending the use of fossil fuels for transportation and heating. Mankind is addicted to fossil fuels.
