Did you see this article in The Economist? (one of my favorite publications, since it is conservative but not pigheaded--though I am too cheap to take a regular subscription and keep accepting their free trial ones.)

economist.com

Oops this may not go. Anyway it's an article meditating on the market.

Bill, Bonnie ...anyone....Help! I think I might be suffering from a split "personality" <g>
Here' more noise that we all know about:

"Our decision is without appeal," Ramadan told
reporters here. "With the expiry of the date (for the
departure of US weapons inspectors) no Americans
with UNSCOM will remain in Iraq."

Iraqi President Saddam Hussein has ordered
Americans working with UNSCOM to leave the
country by November 5, triggering warnings of
"severe consequences" from the UN Security Council.

But, having been a long time user of TC2000 and other services, I can't stop staring at OEX charts all weekend. The point is that using only TA and blocking out the "noise" it still looks ugly.Am I missing
something?
We broke the lowest of the lows of about 835( 6 month chart) this week.
On a weekly I see the next support area at appoximately 786 (close enough for horseshoes :] ). That would take us back to where we were in March. Not a true crash, maybe, but it would be pretty scary.
Why do I struggle with all this? Because the economy is ok and most earnings have been good etc. Yet, not just the index charts, but some pretty big stocks' charts were trending down BEFORE the first drop on Thursday before last. Sooo, technically I am quite bearish and this is the first time I have ever gone to 100% cash, even though there are many great stocks out there that I want to buy.
I would appreciate your input.
Thanks.
Just taking it a day/hour at a time! :)
