Sam,

I read Fleckenstein every day while the technology market was flying. I stopped when his dire predictions became fact. I don't need to have it rubbed in.

Since you used the species analogy, I will continue by noting that local populations of various species experience boom and bust cycles when natural predators fail to check population growth and overpopulation destroys the food source. The bust causes a severe population decline but doesn't usually wipe out the local poulation. Fleckenstein is not predicting extinction, but a severe slowdown in production and an even more severe bust in the stock market valuation. The analogy is that tech stocks and CYMI in particular have had no predators to keep them in check.
