Hawk, did we pound them to the stone age? Are our drone planes killing civilians?

Of course not.. If anything we bombed them OUT OF THE STONE AGE!!

That place has suffered endless conflict since the late 1970s and it's time for that to cease. It's going to take at least 5-10 years, and maybe longer, to accomplish that. But it's time to stabilize the regional security situation there, dismantle the warlord system and make them accountable to their people via the ballot box.

As for our drones.. if they are killing civilians, it's quite likely they are related to the Taliban or they were being used as human shields.

Listen.. I was privy to a lot of these so-called "civilian casualty reports" in Iraq. And lot of them consisted of immediate relatives harboring the insurgent. Would have like to avoid harming them, but they were just as involved as the actual perps we were trying to capture/kill.
