Stonehenge---I believe you are correct. All my buys at this time are on margin and comprise of SUNW, AMAT. and a Y2K issue. Forgetting about 25% of my margin as we can still see lower lows--- but the upside is too great to pass on.

I think cpq and dell are taking lots of share in an industry whose growth rate measured in revs (as opposed to units) is turning down, cause avg. sell prices are turning down. Both have high multiples by historic norms. Esp. Dell. I consider both hyper risk.

The market has now become very cognizant of multiples, or really, meeting earnings expectations, not just current quarter, but coming year.

Personally, I think telecom equip and software are better places to be in tech.
