Tejek is a self identified leftwingnut extremist. He tries to pretend it is not so. He keeps making statements that make it obvious despite his denials.

He believes that the 95% or more of the population that is less liberal than him are all extremist to the right. It is just his philosophy and belief system.

Reality is unlikely to interfere with his fantasy that he is not a wingnut.
