The treasuries are not a free market. The low end is essentially
fixed by the Fed, while the high end is fixed by banks levering
off the yield curve. The Fed has monetized the stimulus, via
the "wash" I mentioned before. The government has the printing
press, which is why rates won't go up even if it is bankrupt.

Nevertheless, UST investors will lose no matter what if the
govt is bankrupt. That much is certain.
