Gold definitely won't be the asset class to own. I suppose guns, ammo, and freeze dried food for the first few months, followed by seeds and defensible agricultural land away from bomb impact sites. Northern New Zealand sounds real good -- southern will probably be covered by nuclear winter glaciers.
