The Taliban will only be happy when they have power. Does that come as any surprise? I am confused, I thought you said that the Talibans were not Afghans. And now you are saying that they are. If they are they have every right to resist us. Don't you think so? As for the rest of the country, I think it would depend upon who you ask, and how objectively you ask the question. Of course, if you ask someone that lost his family member due to our invasion, they would hate us. And we killed lots people in Afghanistan. But who do you think would win in a popularity contest between NATO/ISAF forces and the Taliban? It is not a pissing contest. What boggles the mind is the mission was accomplished 8 years ago yet the Tabliban are stronger than they were in 2001. They must have the support of the population for them to be able fight and resist our occupation. As I mentioned before and McChrystal agrees We fight so we do not lose, they fight to win. The other thing that boggles the mind is from where are the Taliban being supplied with money and weapons. Let us start by talking to Iran's internal opposition groups and assisting them (covertly, of course) to take charge of their own government. Isn't that called interference with Iran's internal affairs? Geez, we were so pissed off at Iran for interfering in Iraq and Lebanon internal affairs. What gives? Is it true that we as American are hypocrites? BTW, we signed an accord with Iran that we will not interfere in their internal affairs. Point I: Non-Intervention in Iranian Affairs 1. Been there, done that.. Have we tried? Of course we talked to them and demanded that they meet out demands but never talked to them. Time to talk DIRECTLY to the Iranian people. We can't. See above. This video claims that Palestinians voluntarily formed a human shield around a Hamas leader's house, AFTER he received a phone call from the Israelis that he had 5 minutes to evacuate his wife and children before they destroyed the home. Firstly we were talking about Afghanistan. What kind of standards are you holding ourselves with, when knowingly killing innocent people even if they were being used as human shields. Thus we can't go pointing fingers at anyone while we are no better than them. Anyway.. it's no surprise because Hamas indoctrinates their child to become martyrs from a early age: I only can blame the Israelis. If Israel ends its occupation and treat the Palestinians as humans, the Palestinians will not have to resort to such extreme measures. Alas, we do not have the guts to stand up to Israel and force it to sit down with the Palestinians and negotiate in a fair and just way.
