If you were hunting an animal and came across a set of tracks, would you say "These tracks are useless because the prints are too small."? Would you say "These tracks are useless because they only tell you where the animal has been."? I submit that if your survival depended on finding that animal for your next meal, then you would find a way to interpret those tracks. Doesn't guarantee that you will catch it, but imo, your probability of doing so would be improved.
