Rosemary, tandem sells by account management.
They have areas that are assigned to mgrs. and reps call on particular
compnaies at tandem.
these reps will now attempt to control sales of cpq pc's too.
Several cpq statements have talked about this.

You are right about not being "Corporate Welfare Program". Tandem will contribute in many way to the corporate. For instance. Tandem's CS150 will be a huge seller leading the NT Servers. Tandem has gross margin of better than 55%. This will increase with Compaq purchasing power. Tandem large server annual volume is the the 10s of thousands. The cost will descrease significantly when Compaq is buying. We could not get TI to talk to us let alone having good price. This will change. This is very good deal for Tandem and Compaq. I can stay on line until the cows come home to list all the benefits.
