Even if this is true, and it isn't, it still doesn't change the fact that the system was set up for a major collapse even if small things go wrong. It is very amusing how you frantically do your best to ignore this point.

Yes, lending policies got out of hand, resulting in bad loans. But that hardly was because of a single party. You minimize the Republican and Bush contributions, and blow out of proportion the Democratic ones. But, that is irrelevant. It would have played out in a very similar manner if any of a number of things had hit a "perfect storm" and triggered a run. By ignoring the underlying problems, people like you have allowed the financial industry to avoid substantive change and left us in exactly the same boat as we were before.

But you are too partisan to recognize it.
