I get it now, it is a pissing contest. We are not there to liberate women from the burka or get OBL. For one.. don't pretend like you care about the plight of women in Afghanistan. Secondly, women in Afghanistan are NOT going to have a chance to excel under a Taliban regime. These are the same kind of people who permitted female students to be burned ALIVE when their school caught fire, rather than let them evacuate without their "coverings" (this incident happened in Saudi Arabia). news.bbc.co.uk And from past experience, the Taliban are far more brutal in their policies towards women.
