NZ$ is very heavily traded for how small the currency is. It's considered politically stable, safe, free floating, good interest rates, better than most. It's like a mini Swiss franc which is just a teeny little country with a good currency reputation.

That leads to the NZ$ being over valued [in my opinion] which it is currently.
