It's sort of considered a RUDE question in today's society but I asked it anyway. And thank you all for the replies....you have given me much to ponder ! As a musician and spiritual leader I have had the depth and understanding of how your house is where you make it, etc BUT as with many in the arts/religion my education hasn't included 'attraction'. The focus has been on the discipline and craft of obtaining very high quality results with the body, mind, and soul in service to 'the art'. All admirable but misses the boat in practicalities. Heck in the arts they rarely teach how to promote one's self except for Julliard and the Curtis Institute and Berkley who are ahead of their time and DO teach this. BUT somehow in our society at large we teach mixed messages of: it is okay to get all you want 24/7 so go for it as we are all our own creators (ie. The Secret thinking). And then the other side of the coin is: you wouldn't want to get too materialistic because Spirit doesn't care for it (dogma speaking). And: go for the education because it will = rewards. When actually I have known people with less education but somehow the right 'mindset' who really go places with that. Seems it is what takes place inside the mind determines the outside (As above, so below. Emerald Tablet.) Therefore where I am going with this is: since we create our reality no one should have to buy into the mindset that "it is okay to not have what you want" and "lack is somehow virtuous:. Seems to me that if you have to do without then that distracts from what you should be doing with ease, grace, and the means to DO IT. So having a beautiful living space/house and freedom to make it your home is food for the soul in terms of 'home is where the hearth and heart is'. Thus every human should have the right to housing, food, and meaningful work, ideally...unless they aren't taught HOW to think the best way to attract this and develop their manifestation skills. Perhaps Shirley's books will just steadily plod that message across the footlights to the stages at large. Now the system right now isn't geared for sharing this 'how to be a 'have' thinking/ manifestation for highest good/....maybe increasingly the influences from on & off planet will keep urging us to re-think status-quo concepts. Shirley's latest book, by the way, also goes in this direction that our only hope will be to change our thinking, act on it, and open up to new vistas. Good for her for being direct. Someone needs to be ! Happy decorating the new home-space (original post in this thread.) I also liked reading about how the cat had their own bedroom (One blessed cat ! The stories they could tell in the afterworld "Hey you know that place where you had your own bedroom, well they have an opening for another cat..better skedaddle over there and check it out.....") My hamster happily occupies the hallway vestuble with cage and furniture the cage sits on. Several times a day he also occupies the whole house, with supervision and hugs. You don't want a loose hamster inside your sofa but that is another story. Sincerely, Geode00shirleymaclaine.com
