Eric, you chose to post twice about how Cuba's health care was better than ours - "exceeding us in almost every category". Now you're running from that position instead of defending it. I think you know you were wrong and don't want to admit it out of egoism.

Your attempts to change the subject (first to Japanese or Swiss health care and later to health care costs) are designed to hide that.

You know what Brumar I really don't care about Cuba. But when you look at their system their folks are taken care of.

I don't want to drag the thread off topic but I really get the sense that you don't know what healthcare really costs around the world.

Have you ever bought your own health insurance? Is your company picking up the tab? Most people here have no idea what it really costs. And that's part of the problem.

If you watched the doc that's great because you know more about healthcare around the world than the vast majority of people in this country do.

No wonder healthcare costs are exploding here. We are getting just what our politicians want. Especially the Republicans.

So how do I know so much about the subject. Because I have had to buy my own healthcare policy since the early 1980's. I have preexisting conditions.

You go out and try to get your own policy. If your super healthy your living on borrowed time. Just don't get sick.

Eric

You know Cuba takes good care of their people .... of course, they tell the world they do so its true. Yes, Eric, Cuba is a socialist paradise and sending people to work in the cane fields is just an exercise program designed to keep them healthy. Making sure they don't get too much meat in their diet, thats another health program too. Isn't a shame those mean old Republicans keep us from having a government that cares as much about us?

But there's a mystery .... why have Cubans risked their lives to get to the US for the past 40+ years? Maybe they get American talk radio and are brainwashed by it? No, there wasn't any conservative talk radio till the '80's. Hmm ....
