dijon is a wonderful thing. I made my first pot of navy beans with a ham bone in it the other day... the recipe I found on allrecipes called for dry mustard. not the same as dijon but it adds a lot. I was surprised but went with it, plus threw in some jalapeno juice. it was very very good. lots of garlic, too. and I got me some bay leafs to use.

my dog is 9 and it was her first ham bone. oh my I feel bad now. she has had more fun with it. I must do another soon for her. she has liked tapped into her inner beast, or somethin'.

Thanks for the recipes! The chili was very good, and like many recipes, this one is better the next day.

I enjoyed it more today. My wife loved it as does my son. The bacon and sausage add a lot.

I will change bbq sauce next time. I will probably make my own.

Really looking forward to trying the dijon chili next time. Thanks again.
