Well, some years ago I was confident that heap leaching methods using huge machines would greatly increase gold production as gold approached $1,000 an ounce.

So far it has not happened. Either it's not possible or else gold producers are deliberately holding back.

For whatever reason, though, gold production is obviously NOT up and I am so far obviously WRONG. Fortunately I saw my mistake about eighteen months ago.

Or so it seems to me now.

Anyone have any new estimates as to at what price gold would stimulate huge marginal sources (including, at some point, gold from seawater)?
