C'mon - can fraccing really cause an earth quake? Earth quakes are movements of the earth structures.

Most likely the fraccing just opens up some cracks that were going to break open eventually anyway. Most of these geothermal hot spots are in geologically unstable areas anyway, so I can see how it could have some minor affects.

My point was that there are lots of other areas that are suitable for geothermal project that don't need fraccing to be successful.

No matter what you do in this world someone is going to complain about it. Sometimes the complaints are justified, sometimes they are not.
