Those of us who are in business have not the slightest idea what the tax situation will look like a year from now, no idea what health insurance may cost, no possible way to do estate planning, etc. People who would like to expand their businesses today face such totally unpredictable situations that it is just that much harder to do. Had Bush had another year there is no doubt the economy would have been far more stable by Jan 21 '10 than we're going to find it next month.
