I understand the extra for the stuff on your son's burger, because those items, essentially, are already available "bundled" at extra cost on another burger offering. So, why give those for free, when you make people pay extra for them already?
I have occasionally enjoyed the $1 whopper junior in the past, but I've read franchisees don't like them and other items on the $1 menu. Profit margins there are razor thin, if anything. I guess that's a problem if people come in and order these loss leaders, and nothing else.
