Obama is just catering to his populist base of support, e.g. ACORN and the unions. Real easy to blame "Wall Street fat cats" for the financial collapse, but why argue for the same policies which led us into this mess in the first place? Maybe the AP would like to call him out on that contradiction. We know that Ted, Alghieri, SilentZ, and Combjelly will NEVER do that. Tenchusatsu

One of the things I respected McCain for was his willingness to come clean about his personal level of experience in this area. He got beat up for it and it probably lost him a lot of supporters, but I'd rather lose a competition than get promoted to a job I'm not qualified for.
