Haim, chess, go, checkers etc are interesting as manifestations of intellect. TJ likes to strut around boasting about Chinese amazing intellect and how the serious go players are to chess players as chess players are to checkers players, or maybe it was noughts and crosses players.

That's similar to the way New Zealanders boast about their amazing rugby prowess - hardly anyone else plays it. Watch some American grid iron and imagine how long NZ would be top of rugby if Americans played rugby instead of Superbowl games.

Mostly, NZ's limited rugby prowess comes from having the biggest Polynesian population in the world - their ancestors' strength, speed and aggression were forged in hand to hand combat with the losers being served for dinner. They were a stone age culture without muskets or even sharpened knives with which to carve each other up. It was hardly even a stone age culture - more of a wood age though they did use edges of stones to whittle wood. They were certainly not inventing CDMA/OFDM mobile cyberspace.

Fortunately for the Chinese, they can fiddle around with go and do well because the Jews have not noticed it. Perhaps Huawei would like to sponsor a world championship go continuous tournament with any new world champion getting $10 million and by achieving anywhere in the top 50 they get a lesser reward [which would provide incentive to the battlers in the same way that losers in golf still get some cash].

Huawei would do really well out of it. It would lead directly to world peace and Huawei getting contracts everywhere for fibre and mobile cyberspace. It would also show TJ who's who. It seems that China is a little short on humility. Strong on hubris.
