Maybe he'll do better with a substitute congress in the second half of the term, but either way, we don't want him repeating the course next term. Social promotion and make him someone else's problem.

He wanted a grade, and gave himself one. I just put in my two cents worth. Actually his awarding himself a highly inflated grade reminded me ot the youth sports teams that award trophies and medals just for participating. They wouldn't want to hurt any feelings just because the team was bad.

Good point jla. I'd say there is plenty of downside between a 'D' & an 'F' though. You can fail overall but be close to a 'D-', or you can be an utter failure as Prez Obeyme & his policies could very well take this country. IOW, he can still fail & replace Jimmy Carter as the worst Prez in the last 100 years because he was not successful in fully implementing his policies. Or he could succeed in having his policies fully go into effect & go down as the absolute worst Prez in history.
