You don't think it is an open debate? The very fact that the science of climate change is debated so loudly and frequently is evidence that scientific debate is allowed.

In fact, it is this very debate that has uncovered the nefarious activities of the climategate perpetrators.

So are you now saying that you don't believe science works because these activities are uncovered? I actually think that the fact that they were uncovered is further proof that doing science out in the open with lots of eyes on it works as a self-correcting mechanism.

Everyone should welcome that, no matter how embarrassing the results. When you take a side or voice an opinion, you always run the risk that you will be embarrassed by your conclusions. That's the way of the world. We live in a world of probabilities, not in a world of certainties.
