Anyone care to explain what Jack was saying about the Gartner estimates? Was he implying that they were over stated?

corey, I just finished a careful review of the transcript of the call. It doesn't look as bad in writing as it sounded. I gathered that they had two contract opportunities last quarter and lost both of them. Other opportunities are in various stages of the process. At least one of the trial conversions failed and had to be re-run.

As before, Jack implied that there were contracts that they were "not allowed" to announce. Folks, if there was such on going business the revenues would be reported. Some longs have sent me email saying that there are large secret contracts, so secret that Zitel does not even report the revenue. Let me say that Zitel MUST report all revenue or Uncle Sam would be very unhappy. They are not required to announce all contracts, but you can safely assume that all y2k revenue actually collected was reported.

This "secret contract" and "secret revenue" stuff is in the same category as "Colin Powell is on the Board". Real companies don't do business this way. I think what Jack really meant was that there were negotiations going on with companies who did not want it to go public until after the deal was signed, the longs should not try to make more out of it than that. It is clear that no significant y2k revenue has been received to date and we are all free to make our own guesses about the future.
