Unless you want to make the aviation industry run entirely on ethanol or some biofuel to be developed that means a fossil fuel.

Boeing is working fast and furiously on biofuels. They realize the entire industry could be brought to it's knees if Jet A gets above $4 a gallon for any significant length of time. The airline industry has not been doing very well with two kicks in their kneecaps the last 8 years.

I see a contradiction in saying we want to kill the fossil fuel industry asap and celebrating an industry thats dependent on fossil fuels.

The fossil fuel industry will simply price itself out of business in the long run. Especially where we have to get oil and it's declining quality. EROIE will be the final takedown unfortunately.
