"The sexism here is that women are acting proud they bedded the best golfer in the world, the one who was recently declared "Athlete of the decade" by the AP. They're pushing the idea that women should get ahead in the world by sleeping with powerful celebrities."

That's a pretty broad brush dude, a broad brush equals stereotyping which equals sexist bigotry. Maybe you weren't around for Elvis or Beatle mania, for rock star groupies and such. Power and fame are attractive in themselves. Relatively normal people can get swept up in the fan frensy for reasons other than nefarious plotting ... people get involved for nefarious reasons too but I'm not ready to assume one suit fits all.

Well said.

These women knew Woods was married and went for him anyways. That doesn't make Tiger innocent........he is the bigger violator......of his marriage, his wife and his kids. But these skanks are not ones who should get a free pass either.

Less, > tejek, bentway, and combjelly have not earned the right to stand over them in judgement, quite to the contrary.

I think Ted is OK. CJ wasn't making any judgements as far as I could tell. Bentway is Bentway; he likes seeing this kind of stuff.

The sexism in the Tiger Woods scandal is different than the sexism that characterized the Palin bashing, IMO. Unlike Palin, the women that went after Tiger Woods deserve to be called skanks. Even Rachel Uchitel, who is playing the victim of media scrutiny, hired Gloria Allred, the lawyer who never saw a photo op she didn't like.

The sexism here is that women are acting proud they bedded the best golfer in the world, the one who was recently declared "Athlete of the decade" by the AP. They're pushing the idea that women should get ahead in the world by sleeping with powerful celebrities. These women are a disgrace, and NOW should be calling them out for it. (I'm not surprised NOW is staying silent on this issue, though.)

Of COURSE they are! When they are old, pruny grandmothers, they can drag out the clippings that PROVE that they slept with Tiger Woods for their grandaughters, and then explain who Tiger Woods is. Not even a prude like you can EVER take that away from them, Ten.
