ALSC's fab investments are in Taiwan, Singapore and Japan. But accord- ing to the 11/2 Phila. Inquirer, semi equipt. stocks are getting hurt because financing for NEW fabs may be more difficult to get due to the Asian currency crisis. They also stated that one should still buy the semi stocks (equipt and chips I presume) because demand for chips is still rising. Fabs will be built elsewhere if Asia doesn't merit fur- ther investment/loans. Ken
